Frutos
We were lucky enough to be able to hold this residency in Casa Algaia, an amazing place in Nature where we were surrounded by fruit trees, which we thoroughly enjoyed. This series of watercolours pretends to explore the textures and colours of said fruits and how they take part in the cycle of life, for as when they are eaten and nurture us, and decompose to give nutrients and seed to the ground from which more fruits will grow. Humans try to fight against this natural cycle, we are repelled by the idea of death, whereas nature simplifies it and makes it present. As Jorge Manrique said in his work Coplas a la Muerte de su padre, "The present is gone and ended".
