We have our “Seed” planted, nourishing it with our dreams, beliefs, creativity, cogitation, action, and effort. When “The Sprout” appears, we can witness its growth and connect and touch it more, composing a deeper and broadening relationship with a newborn being.

In September 2023, Space for Nature experienced its first Artistic Residency in Casa Algaia (Aguarón, Spain), carried out as an Erasmus+ Training Course where we could connect with and touch the creational process of twenty international artists from Türkiye, Romania, Poland, USA, France and Spain.

We wish to mention the entire process of taking our platform to the physical world. In November 2022, we participated in the Erasmus+ Project “Engaging Youth in Climate” in Málaga, where we developed and presented our first on-site art piece, “La Tierra (The Earth)” with the poet Inga de Domingo. In July 2023 we facilitated the international retreat “Algairén” with people from different European countries, which gave us ideas and experience about what the residency, “Sprout&Spread Art in Nature”, could be like in this environment.

In “The Sprout”, the multidisciplinary creations -- including visual arts, performing arts, music, literature, and mixed media arts -- were influenced by the collectiveness of living together and the site-specific experiences facilitated among the foothills of Sierra de Algairén. Experiences the artists had by direct connection with Nature and each other were manifested as meritorious artworks during the process and also in the Final Exhibition. Now we are experiencing the pleasure of sharing them with you. 

From intimate visions, ritual griefs, and artistic research to immersive performances, participative artworks, and eco-feminist speeches, we open all these creations to the worldwide community to spread our messages of hope and the need for action for Nature. We want a future where all the Sprouts and living beings can grow up healthily, freely, and in peace.
